La torre del pozzo conteneva una incastellatura metallica all’interno della quale scorrevano le “gabbie“, gli ascensori utilizzati per far scendere gli operai nei vari livelli in cui dovevano operare e per portare in superficie il minerale estratto da ciascun turno di lavoro, tre al giorno nel periodo di maggiore impegno produttivo. La gabbia era un robusto montacarichi, attaccato a resistenti funi d'acciaio che si avvolgono ai tamburi dell'argano. Serviva sia per l'estrazione dei vagoncini carichi di minerale che per il trasporto del personale e delle attrezzature all'interno del pozzo. Ogni gabbia poteva contenere un vagonetto da 1500 litri

Der Brunnenturm enthielt ein Metallgerüst, in dem die „Käfige“ gleiteten. Die Aufzüge dienten dazu, die Arbeiter auf die verschiedenen Ebenen zu bringen, in denen sie arbeiten mussten, und um das in jeder Arbeitsschicht geförderte Mineral dreimal täglich an die Oberfläche zu bringen in der Zeit der höchsten Produktionsauslastung. Der Käfig war ein stabiler Aufzug, der an starken Stahlseilen befestigt war, die sich um die Windentrommeln windeten. Es diente sowohl der Gewinnung der mit Erz beladenen Waggons als auch dem Transport von Personal und Ausrüstung innerhalb des Brunnens. Jeder Käfig konnte einen 1500-Liter-Triebwagen aufnehmen

CAGES

The tower of the well contained a metal framework within which the "cages" slid, the elevators used to bring the workers down to the various levels in which they had to operate and to bring the mineral extracted from each work shift to the surface, three per day during the period of greatest production commitment. The cage was a sturdy hoist, attached to strong steel ropes that coil around the winch drums. It was used both for the extraction of the wagons loaded with ore and for the transport of personnel and equipment inside the well. Each cage could hold a 1500 liter railcar
